First post! First off, I’m terribly sorry about the delay. We’ve kind of been busy packing up all of our worldly possessions, getting married, honeymooning, and getting acquainted with our new apartment and new city! (And going to Target every day for things we’ve forgotten!) So here’s some pictures from 2 weeks ago when we moved in. I wanted pictures of our apartment immediately when we saw it so we could compare how small and empty it was to how amazing I knew we could make it!
The door to the right is our front door. This is the back of the living room. The closet became Will’s guitarsenal and we have a cute, tiny built in bookshelf!
This is the living room from the closet’s point of view. It looks so small here! Please excuse how hot and miserable Carol and I look. It was about 115* outside that day. Moving weekend was awful!
Right around the corner and open to the living room is the kitchen. It. Is. TINY. But we’re learning to get used to it! Like our entire apartment, it looks much bigger now that there’s furniture in it. And seriously, how darling is our tiny stove?
Here’s a side view of the kitchen. On the left side of the picture is the built-in book shelves. Through the door is our bedroom!
This is our bedroom. Tons of natural light in the afternoon, which makes my heart very happy! The door to the right goes to the bathroom.
Here’s the other side of our bedroom. Did I mention that it’s HUGE? That’s our closet. Not so huge. But I’m sure we can learn to deal with it!
This is our cute bathroom. Do you see that tile? It’s seriously amazing. We’re pretty sure it’s original to the building.
Nothing super exciting here, but we have a bathtub! It’s kind of deco, too.
Look at all that storage! It’s more than I had in my bathroom in South Carolina. I’m still excited about this.
So there’s our naked apartment tour! Next post will be the apartment with furniture and partially decorated, which is the way we left it before we went back to SC to get married. It looks so different even now and we’ve only been here officially for 2 days! I’ll do another post after that once we have everything settled.
